Totally Lame

I have just had a momentary lapse of anything that is sane. I have been so put off by the shoved-down-our-throat low/no carb diets, and (even though I know it works for some people) I have silently sworn to myself that I will not jump on that bandwagon. So, dear readers, tell my why why why I bought these Edge Doritos at the grocery last night? They are akin to eating a paper napkin. I am so totally serious. Nasty.

In other news, I am so enjoying VH1's I Love the 90's. Damn funny. I remember once upon a time thinking I would never watch VH1. It was so, ah, lame (said in my best 80's vally accent). You know soft rock, easy listening crap. So please understand why I'm so shocked and disturbed that I actually prefer it to MTV. This is just happened in the last 3 years. When I was newly preggers with Chase, I would literally watch MTV all day. (hey, it was summer, I was SICK, and I wasn't about to go out in the sweltering heat) Now, I can't tolerate it much longer than it takes to watch Nick & Jessica...um...not that I actually watch Newlyweds...um...no, not at all. Ahem. ANYWAY...there are just so many interesting things on VH1, Behind the Music, A-Z, I Love the 7-8-90's, and my fave - Best Week Ever.

Man, I sound so lame...

I think I might be a bit slow on the growing up stuff, because I still get joy out of some MTV. However, having said that, I love VH1 and have quite enjoyed it since the days of Pop Up Videos. What the heck does that make me? Doublolame-o? I love all those talking head shows. Just caught A-Z for the first time last night. Super!

Also, I am so with you on avoiding the non-carb craze. It drives me batty that it's such a big advertising angle these days. Bah, I say.

Good to know. I took my grandma to Quiznos and a single serving bag of those Doritos cost $1.99! That's nuts! I was like, who cares. Give me the carbs.

I LOVE the I Love to 70's/80's/90's shows. My favorites are Michael Ian Black and Hal Sparks--I laugh out loud on my Ellipse machine.

VH1 is just so reliable for good mindless tv watching! My actual MTV watching is down to TRL and Nick&Jessica - everything else is pretty useless.

Bwahahahahaa, I will admit only here that I love brainless tv. I was almost sad when Nate got his days and nights sorted out after his first two months of life because afterwards I was sleeping through the best midnight smut tv ever. Have you SEEN the Anna Nicole Show?

It might seem like a "bandwagon", but low carb dieting really does work. I have lost 50 lbs in 4-5 months. And those Edge Doritos, I have to beg to differ, because I think they're scrumptious! They're the best low-carb chips around.... and they're cheap at Subway. :)
